Lamellar breastplate

temporary trial-fit of the center and right plates of the breastplate assembly, to see if it will work, and get a good idea of the length of the cords I will be using for the final assembly.

the fobs that will mount the buckles to secure the yoke straps (yeah, it gets complicated) will mount to the uppermost right and uppermost left (not shown) plates of this element.

the top elements will be stitched onto the cloth backing.
The lowest elements... not sure. I might have them laced onto a strap that is stitched to the cloth.

from the third row lower edge down, it will be scale armor, as on the carapace.

edit: it certainly allows for better arm motion than when it was monolithic. I will need to continue the hole series down the joints, as they are at present too floppy.
