Armor 66 Scales

The plastron, with 66 scales sewn on.

The collar flaps will be covered by special-purpose pieces, one each.
The hip flares will be covered in more scale, in a somewhat different pattern imposed by the medial edge taper of the cloth backing.

This damn thing is becoming noticeably heavy. I really do need to get a bathroom scale or something, so I can determine what this stuff actually weighs.

a note to the end-user:
I know you say you will be wearing this for ceremonial purposes only. I know you are sincere in this claim. However, I also know the power of temptation.
While I have made this armor game legal,
it is still no-bullshit
hard-as-fuck
armor.
Any incidental contact with it will feel much the same as incidental contact with a pile of roofing slates.

You have a moral obligation, sir, to be explicitly clear about this fact with any who choose to fight you while you wear this armor, and you must strongly insist they wear gloves to protect themselves from broken fingers and hand-bones.

I am not joking.

edit: I just noticed a bad asymmetry - the top full row on the left rises too high. I'll remove and re-position those three scales after work tonight.
